The Immortal Sleep A crimson stain upon the sacred soil, The final end to all earthly toil. He wrapped himself in the flag's embrace, And met his destiny with silent grace. No longer bound by time or mortal breath, He found his victory in noble death. A star that shines where dark horizons meet, The heart that gave its very last beat. #poetry #poem #indepnedence
