Key Rituals of Ahoyi Vrat • Nirjala Fast: Mothers keep a strict day-long fast (often without water) dedicated to Goddess Ahoi for the long life, health, and well-being of their children. • Puja & Image: An image of Ahoi Mata (along with the syahu and her cubs) is drawn on a wall or a poster is placed for worship. • Offering to Stars: In the evening, after seeing and offering Arghy (water/libation) to the stars (or moon depending on local custom), mothers break their fast. • Silver Mala/Locket: A silver pendant or coin representing Ahoi Mata is worn or kept, adding a bead or pearl for each child. #bhakti
